Christmas Drive-thru for the Tutoring Center and Head Start Programs

COVID – 19 did not stop the Pinoleville Pomo Nation and their EPA Department from making this Tribes holiday celebration magical. On December 17, 2020 from 4-6PM we held a Christmas Drive-thru for the Tutoring Center and Head Start Programs. All families were asked to wear masks and stay in their vehicles. All students received a gift from Santa Claus and all children received educational outreach material from different departments and goodies. While the EPA department’s Interns and volunteers handed out information outreach material on composting and how to do one yourself, our new hire – Gabe Villa played Santa!! For those that did not want to start their own composting but were interested in composting were given a starter kit. We gave out 20 starter kits and more then 80 adults received the outreach materials. In fact, it was such a success that we had to start a waiting list at our booth and even more requests have come in for the kits in the last week.
